WSRP Chairman calls for citizen uprising (and we agree)
– From Susan Hutchison 3/17/2015-

The Washington State Republican Party believes all voters ought to have a say in the selection process for their party’s Presidential nominee.  There are twelve days left (8 days as of 9/21 - ed.) to move the Primary to March 8th (from the current date of May 24th).  The Secretary of State can reconvene the special committee, and the vote of just one Democrat is needed to join with the other committee members (and the majority of state voters!) in allowing a March 8th Primary.

For the past two decades, every Primary has been moved to February or March.  Why, in a year when the contests have garnered so much interest (a new record for CNN in all-time ratings for the 9/16 Debate) should we put Washington State in the back row of primaries, when we could have a front row seat?

Contact the state Democratic Party at (206) 583-0664 and the Secretary of State at mail@sos.wa.gov or (360) 902-4151.  A citizen uprising could change 2016 election history!   Visit www.WSRP.org to contact the state Republican party.

A message from the John Kasich campaign:
My name is Don Watts.  I live in Everett and have been active in republican politics in Snohomish County for years.  I have been authorized by the campaign to reach out to people on the campaigns behalf in Washington.  I would like to give you my contact information in case anyone in your county would like to support John and receive information about his campaign.  Don Watts 425-353-8876 don@donaldgwattscpa.com

Clark County Caucus Planning Update:
We had two prior meetings that were very well attended, but we needed the state caucus rules established before we could proceed.  Now that the rules are in place and the February 20, 2016 date set, we need to move full steam ahead.  This next planning meeting on 9/30 (see below) is open to every interested citizen.  Please join us for an update on the rules and the establishment of committees to guarantee a stellar 2016 presidential year in Clark County.

Be sure to buy a copy of the Reflector this week to get our new Write-in Liz Pike ad and share it with friends and neighbors.  Buy several!  One store told us they ran out twice this week for the first time ever!

Get to know your 2015 candidates and promote them during the next several weeks.  Ballots will be out in less than a month!  We have yard signs and literature for many of the candidates at HQ, 9401 NE Covington Rd, Vancouver.  Open 11:30 -5:30 M-F.  We have materials for some presidential candidates (but no presidential yard signs yet) and Bill Bryant for Governor.

Please note: On your ballot, Nada Whitlock is also listed as a candidate for this position. After the ballots were set, Ms. Whitlock accepted a paid position with Vancouver Public Schools which makes her ineligible to hold this elected position.  Rosemary still needs to actually win this election, otherwise it becomes an appointed position.  Please make sure you and your friends mark your ballot for Rosemary Fryer.  Yard signs now available by contacting Rosemary at (360) 574-8070  vote4rosemary@gmail.com.

Campaign signs:
Let’s keep our candidate’s signs looking sharp.  If you carry a screw gun and hammer most signs can be put back into good shape in just seconds.  Sloppy signs give a bad impression.

HQ Office Staff needed:  We need additional office staff during this election cycle, answering phones and greeting visitors.  Contact Brenda Poletti if you can help out: 503-380-6918 or poletfam@yahoo.com.
