From the Chairman's Desk-November 24, 2015

Happy Thanksgiving!

It is never our goal to merely repeat information which has already inundated you from other sources.

Clearly these are troubled times, but that is exactly why most of us became involved in this all-volunteer organization. We hope you will participate in the events listed and let us know of activities that are important to you.

Remember that the legislative fundraising freeze begins December 12th so contribute to your favorite state legislators while you can.  They are all up for re-election in 2016 and every State Representative and State Senator in Clark County is Republican except for the three in the 49th.

Clark County Republican Legislators:
14th LD:  Rep. Norm Johnson, Rep. Gina McCabe, Sen. Curtis King
17th LD: Rep. Lynda WilsonRep. Paul HarrisSen. Don Benton
18th LD: Rep. Brandon VickRep. Liz PikeSen. Ann Rivers

Coming Events
The events listed may or may not be organized, sponsored or endorsed by the CCRP.  If you have events that you would like to see listed, please send them to media@ClarkRepublicans.com.

COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING November 24, 10am - noon
Public Service Center, sixth-floor hearing room, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver
The three county councilors (all Republicans) could use support as they endure constant attack at these meetings.  It would be nice if they could see some friendly faces in the crowd.  Making decisions that can shape the course of life in Clark County for years to come is not an easy process. That’s why before they decide an issue, Clark County’s commissioners get extensive input from community members through citizen advisory groups, town hall meetings, one-on-one conversations, and other means.

There is a lot to celebrate as we wind down 2015, and there is even more to look forward to as we head into the 2016 legislative session!  Please join us for an evening of food, conversation, and great company! We look forward to sharing our vision for the State of Washington, and having a great time with our friends and neighbors! Elected Republican officials from around Washington are also invited to attend.  The minimum suggested contribution for this event is $50.  All donations will be equally split between the two of us unless otherwise requested.   RSVP's can be made to brandon@electbrandonvick.com, or to plharris@comcast.net

2016 WA STATE LEGISLATIVE SESSION BEGINS January 11, 2016
"No man's life, liberty or property are safe while the Legislature is in session." -- Mark Twain

2016 STATEWIDE CAUCUSES February 20, 2016, 10:00am
Locations in Clark County TBD
The party platform will be discussed and resolutions presented.  Delegates to the county convention will be elected from each precinct.  The precinct caucus is a great setting to meet your neighbors who also wish to advocate Republican principles.  Please contact us if you want to help organize an effective event.

Please encourage others to sign up for our mailing list at http://www.clarkrepublicans.org/join.  Many do not know that we send information every week in email form.  This will be very important in the months ahead as we approach caucus and convention season.  Also, people may have to rejoin from time to time as their email provider takes them off our list thinking we are spam.  It happens every week and we have no control over it.  So if you ever hear anyone say that they used to get the newsletter, but no longer, they were likely removed by their own provider and they need to rejoin at the link above.
