(at the Lincoln Day Dinner)  Hi,  My name is Georgiana Buckler.  I am asking for professionally crafted cakes for the Lincoln Day Dinner Dessert Dash June 4th at the Heathman Lodge, 7801 N.E. Greenwood Drive, Vancouver.  The cakes must be delivered between 2 and 4PM on June 4th.  We need many cakes for this big event.  Having you deliver the cake(s) is best.  If you are not able to deliver your cake(s) you can be a cake sponsor with a donation of $50.00 each.  My contact information is:  Let me know if you need bakery names and numbers and how many you are donating.   I truly appreciate your generosity and effort to make this a great event.  Please pass this information to others whom you believe would be willing to donate cake(s).  Thank you so much, Georgiana Buckler.

Tonight (Tuesday)!  (From Carol Levanen)  CCCU needs your help!  Please come to the County Council hearing at 6:00 pm to protest the new Comp Plan!  1300 Franklin Street - 6th floor hearing room.  CCCU has just seen the proposed new 2016 Comprehensive Plan for rural and resource lands, and it is HIDEOUS!  They are telling landowners that your agriculture land, zoned 20 acres, will go to 10 acre zoning and your 40 acre forest zoned land will go to 20 acres.  But what they don't tell you is that you CANNOT DIVIDE the land into those lot sizes.  The only way you will be able to divide the land AT ALL, is to cluster the land into a one acre parcel and preserve all of the rest of the land for the cities.  Your remaining large lot will then be required to have a county COVENANT, filed with the deed, that will prevent you from doing anything else with the land, and allows the county to have TOTAL control of it.  CCCU believes this is a property rights takings, under the Constitution, and is opposed to the Plan and the cluster ordinance, as written.

Help Wanted:  We have not listed community advisory board positions lately.  Would someone like to monitor the county and cities so that we could regularly post opportunities on our website and newsletter?  These advisory boards are an excellent way to contribute to your community and gain political experience.  We really need to fill these positions with talented Republicans.  Each city has a website and is often looking for skilled volunteers.  Here is a link to Vancouver’s:

Campaign Signs:  We have signs, literature and bumper stickers for many candidates at HQ.  Current office hours are noon – 4pm M-F.  Just arrived: 250 Donald Trump bumper stickers.  If you would like to help us expand office hours contact Rich Johnson, office manager  360-253-2250

Have a great spot for a 4X8 Donald Trump sign?  Please call 360-979-1900

Other campaigns also need sign locations and volunteers to put them up.Please contact Kenny at 360-521-8565 if you can help or have a great location for a sign.

Looking for a Champion to lead efforts for candidate Phillip Yin running for Lt. Governor.  From Campaign Manager Chris Terrell: “Newspapers recognized Phillip as "The Most Prominent Republican..." and “The GOPs best hope…”  A real opportunity. He’s raised over $125,000.  The Lt. Governor represents businesses for our state.  Phillip is uniquely qualified given he was an anchor for news organizations CNBC and Bloomberg focused on financial matters.  The campaign welcomes your help to lead, guide and direct Clark County.”  Contact Chris at, or, 202-285-2245

Help Wanted: Parade Coordinator.  There are a number of parades coming up fast and we need an organizer.  We have had some pretty awesome floats in the past and this year’s election requires careful attention to detail with volunteers and representation from each candidate.

How do I change my registration from Democrat to Republican? One of the most frequent questions we hear.  You don't have to do anything because we have never registered by party affiliation in Washington State.  Each registered voter will receive a Democratic and Republican ballot in the mail.  We will have to sign a declaration on the envelope choosing a party just for this one vote.  Confirming that the ballot in the envelope and the declaration match is an additional task for the elections office and our election observers.

From Pauline regarding the Target boycott:  The American Family Association is calling for a boycott of Target after the retail giant said it would allow men to use the women's restrooms and dressing rooms in their stores.   Currently, there are over one million people who have signed their petition to pledge to boycott their stores.  See the above link to join their ranks.  Also, brand new Initiative, I-1515, is ready for your signatures and gathering.  This Initiative “concerns gender-segregated facilities and civil liability and would override state/local prohibitions against gender-identity discrimination in certain public-accommodation facilities, require that public schools restrict access to specific facilities based on sex at birth, and allow related lawsuits against schools.”  This is the direct quote from the Initiative protecting women and girls from entrance of biological males into their bathrooms, dressing rooms, etc.  This needs lots of support from family-friendly voters.  Get your petition from Turning Point Church.  I will also bring some to Republican Headquarters.  Must be turned in beforeJuly 1st.

Study the election process in your county.  If you would like to become an election observer or just want to learn about the election process, please note the June 8 training in the “Coming Events” section below.  Only certified observers are allowed on the floor during ballot processing.  Training is only offered one day per year so don’t miss this opportunity.
