We still support you.  We cannot predict the outcome of elections, but we did make two correct predictions this year.  First, that we would meet many new people, inspired by one of several presidential candidates who would run this year, and second, most of those new friends would end up disappointed since only one candidate gets through to the end.

With those two points in mind, we made a conscious decision nearly two years ago that we would be the supporter of all the supporters of all the candidates.  How well have we done?

You might remember this testimony given at the county convention by Maureen Trullinger of the Ben Carson campaign.  She spoke of us having a welcoming atmosphere, providing great support, leadership, acceptance and guidance to her and her grassroots team of newbies.

Vanessa Amundson, one of the Clark County Chairs of the Cruz campaign wrote this week:  “I just wanted to send you a note of thanks for how you treated us fairly during the campaign for president…I was in a position to experience how the various campaigns were treated.  I really appreciate how hard you and your staff worked to make sure you treated each campaign fairly.  A great example was when I received a call from Katja Delavar to make sure you had supplies from the Cruz campaign.  It was not necessary for her to do that, but I really appreciated her effort.  It showed that yall cared about all the campaigns, including ours!

Arnold & Marlene Adams wrote:  Thank you, Kenny, for your balanced and kindly cooperation in our belated efforts to help the John Kasich presidential campaign.

Joel Mattila from the Trump campaign wrote: A huge THANK YOU to the Clark County Republican Party for all the support you've given to the Trump campaign. We've used the headquarters numerous times for our volunteer trainings. The party leadership has been more than fair and accommodating to meet our needs. Obviously, our campaign is not a traditional campaign and we've brought so many new people into the process. Thank you Clark County GOP for being so helpful!

If you are among the discouraged right now because your candidate is not making it to the finish line, we hope that you will find inspiration again, either with the eventual nominee or with one of the many statewide and local Republican candidates.  There are many terrific candidates and they need motivated volunteers like you.  We thank you for your involvement this year and we look forward to working on your team once again.

Help Wanted: Parade Coordinator.  Parades are coming up fast and we still need an organizer.  This year’s election is a great opportunity to showcase our candidates.
