The First Convention In Four Years!

Dr. Jeffrey Osanka to Chair County Convention this Saturday.
Dr. Jeffrey Osanka has agreed to chair our convention this Saturday, if elected.  Dr. Osanka is President of Osanka Communications.  For four years, Dr. Osanka was an expert consultant for the Bush Administration in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).  He has a lengthy campaign resume, and worked for Republican Presidential campaigns as diverse as Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, McCain-Palin, and Romney-Ryan.  A former elected official (Eugene Water and Electric Commissioner), Dr. Osanka also staffed the Oregon State Legislature.   He has taught at George Washington University, Georgetown, Lane Community College, and the University of Oregon.  Convention delegates should expect a fair, efficient and impartial convention process.

Platform and Resolutions Committee has been hard at work sifting through the dozens of resolutions presented at the caucus.  They hope to complete their work by tomorrow night.  It would be best to familiarize yourself prior to the convention with the resolutions and with the recommendations of the committee.  We will post the results on our website www.ClarkRepublicans.org under the “2016 Caucus Info Page” tab as soon as they are available.

We are sad to see Ben Carson leave the race.  He has absolutely the best supporters!  They worked so hard for over a year and a half.  Most were new to politics and have a serious commitment to Republican principles.  Maureen and Dale Trullinger continuously organized Carson events, inviting supporters of all the candidates to participate with them.  They are role models of what Republican activism should look like and we thank them for their service.

We support the supporters of all the candidates!  Here are local leaders that have identified themselves.  If other campaigns have coordinators they should contact us at media@ClarkRepublicans.com so that we can add them to the list.
