From the Chairman's Desk-March 29, 2016

Calling All Volunteers!

Reminder: We need volunteers for a successful June 4, Lincoln Day Dinner.  Join us tonight to see how you can help.  Details below in the "Coming Events" section.  Here are photos from last year’s wonderful event for inspiration.

The next stop on Washington State’s journey to select our presidential nominee is two months away at the state convention in Pasco.  Our delegation is all set and ready to go.  If you have questions about the May 24 presidential primary, WSRP has the answers here.

So let’s focus now on statewide and local candidates.  If you have not connected with these candidates, please do so now.  Contributing, even a small amount by Thursday will be a significant boost to their campaigns.  As this first quarter comes to an end, political insiders will evaluate the strength of each campaign by the amount of money raised and the number of contributors.  Adding your name by Thursday will be a big help.

Governor: Bill Bryant
Secretary of State: Kim Wyman
US Senate: Chris Vance.
Lt. Governor: Marty McClendonJavier FigueroaPhillip Yin
State Treasurer: Duane Davidson and Michael Waite
State Auditor: Mark Miloscia

“We the people tell the government what to do.”  Oh, don’t you wish that was true today.  Let’s devote ourselves to President Reagan’s mission.  Are we in worse condition than he witnessed in the 1960s?  It is time "We The People" unite and reverse the course of government once again.  Help us with this year's campaigns.

We have terrific local candidates which we will highlight next week.  We need volunteers.  We have an urgent need for sign crews to install 4X8 campaign signs and we’ll soon be needing call center workers, campaign advisors, event schedulers, canvassers, office helpers & election observers.  Let us know if you want to help in any of these areas.

A great way to get to know candidates is to attend their events, which will be listed each week in the “Coming Events” section of this newsletter, and watch their speech at our recent county convention at this CVTV link.  Many local and statewide candidates were there.  We also have photos of the convention on our Facebook page (be sure to like the Facebook page).

25 million Christians did not vote in 2012!  Would you like to explore solutions?  Let’s meet to discuss this Monday, April 11, 7pm at HQ: 9401 NE Covington Rd.

We support the supporters of all the candidates!  Here are local leaders that have identified themselves.

Ted Cruz - contact Vanessa Amundson dansvan@hotmail.com 360-833-2231 & Michael Ware mkirbyware@gmail.com 360-608-5986

Donald Trump – Joel Mattila  JoelDMattila@gmail.com

Donate to those statewide candidates by Thursday and then set up a monthly contribution for the local party.  Please make an online donation here.  Or set up monthly contributions to provide reliable ongoing support for the Party here.  You can also mail your check to: Clark County Republican Party, PO Box 205, Vancouver, WA  98666.  As an all-volunteer organization we very much depend on your generosity to responsibly conduct the business of the Republican Party in Clark County.

Reagan would be unelectable in today’s rabid right Republican party. And Lincoln sent people with guns from now Democratic states (like Massachusetts and New York) to shoot people in now Republican states (like Alabama and Mississippi).
