Your Feedback Requested!
Please take a minute to advise us here. This list shows all the positions for election this year (except the new county councilor positions). The names in the last column are the people currently holding the office. Their term will expire with this election and they may or may not intend to run again. We do not know each one of them so we need your help. If you know people on this list, can you please tell us if we should encourage them to run again or should we find their replacement? Would you like to run for one of these positions? Please contact us if you have information. Reply to this email or call Kenny @ 360-521-8565. This is our 2015 opportunity to find the best individuals to serve our community.
Do you know any family child care workers? We have brochures at the office for family child care workers who want to see options regarding their automatically-deducted union dues. If you know any of these workers tell them to stop by if they are interested. You can find the story here.
We have Initiative 1366 petitions at the office for you. Five times the voters have responded to initiatives to require a 2/3 vote of the Legislature to raise taxes. Voters approved all 5, supporting each one by a bigger vote than the time before. The last time it was on the ballot, in 2012, it received more votes than any initiative in state history! Voters want it to be tougher to raise taxes. Please help gather the massive number of signatures required to get this final solution on the ballot. Come in and sign our copy or take a petition with you to gather signatures from your friends. More information here.
2016 Presidential Candidates. This week fans of Dr. Ben Carson and Governor Scott Walker have organized gatherings to meet supporters. They are both at the same time on Wednesdayevening in two different locations. The Clark County Republican Party does not endorse candidates when more than one Republican is running for the same office, but we sure do support their supporters! Our faith is in you, the grassroots. We want you to know about the candidates and about the election process. Please come out Wednesday and see what they have in mind. Details below in the “coming events” section.
Alan Keyes and KrisAnne Hall to speak at Cowlitz Lincoln Day Dinner April 11th. We have a special relationship with Cowlitz County since we share not just a border, but we share the city of Woodland, which is partly in Cowlitz and partly in Clark. If you can support 2 Lincoln Day Dinner events this year, we encourage you to make the trip to Longview. It is sure to be a crowd pleaser and comes 6 weeks before ours. Click here for the flier and here for the Facebook event page.
The events listed may or may not be organized, sponsored or endorsed by the CCRP. If you have events that you would like to see listed, please direct them to Media@ClarkRepublicans.com
