From the Chairman's Desk-January 26, 2016

 Our Caucus is Coming!

The caucus is here for the first time in 4 years.  Participating on February 20th is one of the most productive political activities you will do this year.  Promote your favorite candidate, choose delegates to the county convention and begin to develop the platform of the Clark County Republican Party.

Do you have to be a registered Republican to participate in the February 20 caucus?  Actually, in Washington State we have never registered by party affiliation, so you cannot register as a Republican or Democrat, but you do need to be a registered voter in the precinct where you caucus.  You will be asked to sign a statement that you are a Republican and that you will not participate in the caucus or primary of any other party in 2016.

Why all the caucus training?  Is it really that hard?  No.  Participating is easy!  We repeat our caucus training every Thursday at 7pm plus the first two Saturdays in February at 10:00ambecause we want the caucus to be as productive as possible.  It has been four years since we held a caucus and we only get one shot to do it right.

Must I attend caucus training? No.  Caucus training is merely offered to improve the effectiveness of the caucus.  Any registered voter who identifies as Republican can show up and participate on caucus day, and we encourage them to do so.  Please invite all your Republican friends to attend.

Do you have literature I can share with my friends and neighbors?  We’re so glad you asked!  You can print this tri-fold flyer from your own computer or pick some up at headquarters. Caucus Flyer: Outside  Inside .

Where will the caucus be held?  There are 16 locations around the county, but you have to go to the right one in order to participate.  Look here for your precinct’s specific caucus location.  Or call our office at 360-695-1609.  Our office hours are M-F, Noon - 4pm
