Our Turn To Caucus!

2016 Lincoln Day Dinner – Our Lincoln Day Dinner, the biggest fundraising event of the year, will be scheduled after the February 20 Caucus and March 12 Convention this year.  Watch for an announcement next week with date and location.

Our Turn to Caucus - The Iowa caucus just completed with the biggest groundswell of grassroots support in history.  We get our turn in less than three weeks!  What is a caucus?  Essentially, a neighborhood meeting.  Each state has their own process to select the delegates that will represent them at the National Convention to be held July 18 -21 in Cleveland Ohio.  In Washington State it all begins with the February 20th caucus.  Our caucus actually has three very important purposes.

Our neighbors will gather on February 20th to:

  1. choose delegates to the County Convention
  2. begin work on the Party Platform (what do we want the Republican Party to stand for?)
  3. network neighbor to neighbor to share concerns and ideas for the community

To assure success at our caucus we will have conducted at total of 11 training and orientation sessions prior to February 20!  There are still several sessions ahead if you want to get a clearer understanding of how you can participate.  We repeat the training at our HQ each Thursdayevening at 7pm and each Saturday morning at 10am.  Come hear how we will follow WSRP rules to fulfill those three purposes.  Details below in the “coming events” section.

Please invite your friends and neighbors.  Print this tri-fold flyer from your own computer or pick some up at headquarters. Print the inside and the outside here:  Inside / Outside

Where will the caucus be held?  There are 16 locations around the county, but you have to go to the right one in order to participate.  Look here for your precinct’s specific caucus location.  Or call our office at 360-695-1609
