I would have... voted with the Democrats!
How in the world did we go from overwhelming victory just a few weeks ago to caving in on the President’s unconstitutional demands this week? Every Washington State Republican Congressperson voted in favor of the bloated spending bill. Washington Democrats voted against it (Adam Smith missed the vote). I would have voted with the Democrats. Or at least I would have voted with these Republicans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJQBOeR8NoQ. Also voting NO were other Republicans I personally wish our Washington State delegation would emulate, including Amash, Massie, Brat, Gowdy, Jones & McClintock.
I got seriously involved in politics six years ago because we were $9 Trillion in debt and I realized our elected servants (Democratic or Republican) had no courage to confront it. Incredibly, they have doubled that immoral debt in just the past six years to its current $18T. Yes, I’ve heard of the 11thcommandment, but I'm just a volunteer and I did not get involved to become buddies with the political class.
What is your hot button issue? Whether it is abortion, immigration, Obamacare, unconstitutional wars, Agenda 21 or a million other things, we need each other. We cannot be expert on every subject. Even if you are a big government Republican (I don’t understand the concept, but there is plenty of evidence that you exist) we want you to participate. We need civil conversation to attempt to understand each other.
The Clark County Republican Party will be electing officers on January 8th. If I am re-elected I hope to spend 2015 discussing with you the proper role of government and the structure of the Republican Party. I would like to see creative efforts to celebrate the founding of our country integrating the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta http://magnacarta800th.com/ on June 15th and other milestone dates during the year. I would love to hear your ideas.
If any of this is of interest to you, please join us December 30th for our Night Before New Year's Eve Dinner And Fundraiser and then let’s start 2015 working together on issues that matter. We do not have to agree on every topic, but we will be effective if we support each other in our areas of agreement.

LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE--CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT SCHOOL January 26th – 29th
We need to build our bench so that in 2015 & beyond we have more first-rate candidates to support. If you have ever considered running for office, this would be a great place to start. Except for airfare and housing, the cost is minimal. Online classes are available, too. Click here for details.
