From the Chairman's Desk-August 9, 2016

The Clark County Republican Party is guided by the 2016 Clark County Republican Party Platform and Core PrinciplesNote that our platform states: We dedicate time, talent, and efforts to electing those candidates who represent these principles and commit to implementing them into public policy.

Send items for the newsletter or calendar to media@clarkrepublicans.com.  Please visit us at Republican HQ where we have yard signs and literature for many candidates.   Our address is 9401 NE Covington Rd., Vancouver and we are open M-F noon-4pm.  360-695-1609.

Our booth at the fair has been very well received with scores of voters signing up to get involved (and take their picture with Trump).

Want to meet Trump staff?  For those wanting to connect with the Trump campaign there is a very good opportunity 6pm tomorrow at our HQ, 9401 NE Covington Rd.  Washington State Trump campaign staff will be on hand to show you how you can help.  See the “Coming Events” section below for more information.

Governor candidate, Bill Bryant (Blue Shirt) calling voters from HQ during our GOTV effort for the primary.

Don’t make any other plans for October!  We mostly hear about the presidential race, but we have 23 other contests to win in November.  We need your help, especially in October when ballots are in voter's hands.  Please mark your calendar, “Volunteer at Clark County Republican HQ” for those weeks.  Don’t schedule a trip out of town!  You are needed right here in Clark County.  Candidates have told us we have the best GOTV phone banking organization they have seen in the state.  The phone center is only one of the ways you could choose to help.

Don’t want to wait until October?  Perfect!  We need your assistance right now with voter contact.  Let us show you how.  Ask Kenny 360-521-8565 KennySmith@ClarkRepublicans.com.

Congratulations to the advancing candidates!  There is slightly more than two months to get to know the candidates and help your neighbors make the right choice.  Please study each candidate so you can explain why you support them.  Glen Morgan has a good article on some statewide races here.

Video Voter’s Guide:  http://www.tvw.org/video-voters-guide/

Donald Trump campaign HQ is open for business 9am – 5pm. 7005 NE 179th St. Vancouver, WA (360) 979-1900.

Help keep campaign signs in good order.  Candidates not continuing to the general election will be removing their signs, but advancing candidates will keep their signs up until November.  If you carry a screw gun and hammer you can fix any sign problem in moments.  Let’s keep our candidates’ signs looking sharp!  Feel free to correct any sign in trouble.

Your Civic Duty.  Besides voting, you can aid your community by serving on a board or commission.  This is also an ideal way for an activist to gain experience, establish a reputation and build name recognition for future service.  Here are some current openings:  City of Vancouver Aviation Advisory Committee  Deadline: Aug. 26, 2016.
