State Convention Update:
This past week our delegation met to choose leaders for the convention and the following individuals were elected:
Delegation Chair - Allan Dunham
Delegation Vice Chair – Steve Cox
Credentials – Stephanie Baenen
Rules– Joe Wagner
Platform – George Hacker
Sgt at Arms - Valerie Vance-Gray

We have met many new friends through the caucus and convention process and several stepped up to take leadership roles last week.  It is great to see so many fresh faces!  There are also a large number of individuals eager to become national delegates.  In case you are wondering, you do not have to be a delegate to the state convention to run for one of the national delegate positions.  You can find more information here.  Anyone can attend the convention in Pasco.  Just register as a guest at www.wsrp.org/convention2016.

It is obvious that no candidate will have the majority of delegates needed by the time of our May 24 presidential primary so we should expect to see national news teams and candidates here in the weeks ahead, especially with Oregon’s primary just the week before ours.

The RNC put together the above video to explain an open convention.

We need a larger sign team.  Governor candidate, Bill Bryant, as well as other statewide and local candidates are looking for good 4X8 sign locations.  If you know of one, please contact us.  We also need more help putting up signs.  Please step forward now by replying to this email or calling us at 360-695-1609.

25 million Christians did not vote in 2012!  Would you like to explore solutions?  Let’s meet to discuss this Monday, April 11, 7pm at HQ: 9401 NE Covington Rd.

Today-The Regional Transportation Council is considering giving a contract to David Evans & Associates for a new transportation study(This meeting is today at 4pm.  See details below.)  We all know that it was David Evans & Associates who helped WASTE $200 million taxpayer funds on the CRC. They allowed (with WSDOT's failed oversight), the "$50 million maximum" CRC contract to balloon to $200 million under David Evans.  Spreading the word may help other concerned citizens show up Tuesday afternoon, to speak out against this outrage.  Sincerely, John Ley

Wayne Allyn Root coming to Cowlitz County Lincoln Day Dinner.  We appreciate our friends to the north in CowlitzCounty and if you can attend more than one Lincoln Day Dinner this year we recommend their event on April 30th.  Details here.  Our Clark County, June 4th Lincoln Day Dinner will feature Bill Whittle as keynote speaker and we really hope you will attend!
