RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF
“THE ABOLITION TAX”
WHEREAS the Internal Revenue Service, despite reprimands, reforms, and Congressional hearings and investigations, always escalates into an agency which abuses The People, and strikes fear in every American, and;
WHEREAS the Executive and Legislative Branches of the Federal Government have repeatedly over decades been unable to resist encouraging and/or compelling the IRS to target, investigate and/or harass their adversaries and enemies, and;
WHEREAS a Free People should not be forced to create, maintain or endure such an agency simply to pay our taxes, nor forced to bear the associated fear and intrusion into our lives, and;
WHEREAS alternatives such as the "Flat Tax" and the "Fair Tax", each of which have their own strengths, weaknesses and complexities, create debate which has frustrated the greater efforts of tax reformers for many years, and;
WHEREAS the most desirable methods of taxation are those which are enforceable, assessed at the most local level possible, and also preserve the Liberty, Security and Privacy of The People, and;
WHEREAS a system of taxing Free People should prioritize both revenue and Liberty, the tax on incomes is unacceptably injurious to the latter;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clark County Republican Party demands the abolition of the Internal Revenue Service and the federal tax on incomes, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Clark County Republican Party endorses the "Abolition Tax", a system of constitutional federal tax collection whereby the Federal Government collects taxes directly from The States instead of The People, each State's obligation being proportional to their State Gross Product, their population, or other method determined by Congress.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Clark County Republican Party believes this system will allow each state to collect their proportion of the federal budget in the manner which best suits them and their citizens -- whether it be from incomes, business activity, tourism, natural resources, retail sales or other means.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Clark County Republican Party believes this system will cause state governors and legislatures to be far more vested in a reduced federal budget, as the size of the federal budget will directly impact the tax liability they must collect.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT in an effort to inject this alternative into the national conversation, the Clark County Republican Party shall send a copy of this resolution to key US Senators and other republican county chairmen, requesting they endorse and promote the "Abolition Tax".
